Florentin Ipate
I am a full professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Bucharest in Romania. I work in theoretical computer science and software engineering, with a focus on model-based testing, membrane computing, and spiking neural (P) systems. Recently, my research has extended towards bridging these with Artificial Intelligence, specifically looking into mixed AI+membrane computing and search-based testing enhanced by machine learning for autonomous robotic systems. Involvement
My work spans academic research, collaborative projects, and applied software development. Over the years I have taken part in European and national research projects and contributed to the development of industrial-strength verification and testing tools. I was the owner and managing director of the software company IFSoft for over 20 years.
